Interesting photos guys, strange to see Connolly so compressed! Fascinating pub there Wanderer, didn't know the subways had so much variety.
Here are some late updates to Eiretrains, mainly from last month, as I don't have much time to be out and about now, beginning firstly with Kildare Station - some additional photos of various passenger and freight trains at milepost 30. Cherryville Junction - a decent selection of photos from this location with the usual passenger, freights, and 084 on a ballast. I also travelled on the IRRS trip to Midleton, allowing me to add additional past/present photos to Glanmire Rd Station, Cobh Station, Cobh Junction, Carrigtwohill Station and Midleton Station. Some locations around Dublin featuring Islandbridge Junction - various Mk3/Mk4 trains over the last months, shunting movements and the usual. Drumcondra Station - various trains at the station and Claude Rd including the IWT liner. Glasnevin Station - some photos of the old station and the IWT liner, again. Finally the RPSI's 186 hauled Heritage Railway Association trip, seen at Mullingar Station, and passing the former Downs Bog block post. Some Kingscourt line stations also updated with some photos from the 2002 weedspraying trip. Thanks for looking

Hi all,
Took a little trip on the Dublin - Limerick - Waterford - Dublin loop today. Shots up below. Sadly a lot of the interesting stuff had to be taken through windows. Shots include two 141s, three 071s including two out of three of the orange ones (078 and 087), the two bubble DMUs 2751/53 and the few Mark 3s left in Waterford. Also for the first time on Rail Scene Ireland, some close up shots of the pocket wagons. These were IE's last major investment in railfreight and had a very short operational life. Enjoy! http://www.railsceneireland.fotopic.net/c1764887_50.html P.S. Some birds also feature!

Hi all,
Made my first visit to the scene of the Malahide viaduct collapse today. However it seemed like a timely visit since Iarnroid Eireann announced this weekend the line is reopening on November 16th. Pictures show the present state of work, which has seen the piers rebuilt and the top deck restored. Pictures start here and continue on: http://www.railsceneireland.fotopic.net/p61776493.html Enjoy!

Highlights include Enterprise locos 207 and 230 on Mark 4 sets on the Cork run, 220 passing through light engine, three liner trains: 079 and 082 on the Norfolk, 075 on the IWT and the usual mix of Rotems. Collection concludes with steam loco 186 behind Connolly station, along with 144 and another rarely photographed wagon. Enjoy! http://www.railsceneireland.fotopic.net/c1774561.html

Evening all,
The Dublin Sligo line is currently closed for 10 days between Dromod and Sligo for the replacement of the Shannon Bridge at Drumsna. I travelled to Drumsna today to see the last of four spans being lifted into position from the comfort of a Crusier on the River Shannon, plus a visit to Dromod to see the Cavan and Leitrim Railway. http://thewanderersirishrailphotos.fotopic.net/c1774899.html Enjoy! Hi all,
Spent the last two days in London (baby!) for research purposes but did find time for some photography. Underground trains from Bakerloo, Central, Circle, District, and Piccadilly feature in one form or another, as do 313s and 378s. Also making a brief appearance is a 66 and the Mark 3 rake at Willesden. Enjoy! http://www.railsceneireland.fotopic.net/c1776996.html Also this non-railway picture managed to sneak in.
