Good to see them STILL on passenger turns. What's the chances of 134 doing that, I wonder? If this pair was brought in to cover a failure, it is at least possible that 134 and a 141 could be used.

141 then got split up at Cork with 187 and 141 worked the 12.40 cement. 187 was noted hauling 225 today around Cork yard... |

Hi GM 160,
Nice talking to you today; 146 + 173 were round the back of Connolly this evening, I presume 146 + 173 are the Connolly/N.Wall pilots depending on what needs shunted first.... Regards GM 134 |

Re: 141/181 Watch | ||

Yes, it was good to see you too, GM 134. With the lack of railtours the chance of seeing people is less likely, unfortunately!
146 and 173 are (I presume) the pilot locos for the Connolly and North Wall areas. 160 was also around the last number of weeks, the last I saw of it was yesterday, it was at the loco shed in Connolly. It can't be gone too far!!! Regards GM 160 |

Re: 141/181 Watch | ||

When I got off the train at Mullingar yesterday morning, 169+185 were stabled in the bay platform (over by the old cement depot). 085 also passed through light engine at the same time.
Anyone know what they were up to? |

Re: 141/181 Watch | ||

Not too sure what they were doing, probably on Per Way, but I saw 169+185 depart from platform 3 in Connolly yesterday (19/09/2007) at 1740, heading over to Inchicore Works.
Locos 160 and 173 were around the back of Connolly this morning at 0720. Loco 163 was there this evening in the same place at 2015. I presume either 160 or 173 have gone over to the Inchicore/Heuston area as a replacement for 163????? GM 160 |

Re: 141/181 Watch | ||

I don't think it was per way duties because there weren't any wagons in sight around Mullingar... I don't think there's any major work scheduled around that part of the line either. I thought it might've been something juicier, seeing as 085 was on the scene as well...
