075 is coupled to the IWT liner stabled on the gantry rd in Ballina-10:20 departure in the morning, 079 is coupled to the DFDS liner which is parked on the through rd-12:00 departure tomorrow, 073 operated a signalling test of the WRC this morning running from Athlone-Athenry-Gort-Ennis-Athlone. |

084 worked the 12:10 Waterford-Ballina DFDS liner this evening arriving in Ballina freight yard at 19:30, Empty timber to Ballina-(07:50 from Waterford)-tomorrow. |

081 was the pilot in Portlaoise Yard today shunting wagons around this afternoon. Several Donnelli Gantries were shunted around including 776. The LWR train
was visible at Conniberry Junction split into 3 portions possibly due to its problems a few weeks ago and attention at Limerick Works. Interestingly newly
overhauled gantry 774 has taken the place of 772 as the Depot Gantry loading sleepers from the factory onto wagons as required. 772 was confined to this for
many years, is is withdrawn or now out on the renewal trains?

077 worked the 07:50 Waterford-Ballina empty timber arriving in Ballina freight yard at 14:35 followed by, 075 on the 11:55 North-Wall-Ballina IWT which arrived at 17:00, 071 worked the 12:10 Waterford-Ballina DFDS liner arriving there at 19:30 this evening, Empty timber to Westport tomorrow-12:10 from Waterford. |

For a while I doubted I could make this post ever again, but today it happened:
072 hauled the Tara south through Balbriggan towards Malahide for tests in connection with the new viaduct that has been completed over Malahide estuary: http://www.railsceneireland.fotopic.net/p62059585.html

072 headed south after dropping off the Taras, later seen waiting to leave East Wall Junction around 1600, then back at Connolly shed around 1800 with 082, so
Id say Tara traffic will resume asap

081 laden panaltrucks Portlaoise / North Wall 13/1109 081 laden panaltrucks North Wall / Platin ( via Malahide viaduct bridge test for heavy loads) followed by 075 with laden Tara which sat on the viaduct for most of the day. 072 back in Connolly after a 3month holiday in the Co Louth, and it still works after the long rest. 075 + 6 taras were stabled on the viaduct this afternoon (up line) with the other 6 taras on the down line. 075 along with the 6 taras left the bridge at 1506 and moved up to just before the points north of Malahide statiom (as seen in Csalem's photograph above). 075 later passed south through Raheny at 1703 with 12 laden Taras for North Wall; great to hear the sound of an 071 passing by again for the first time in 3 months, albeit in about notch 3!!! I know that the above pictures are telephoto lens shots but some of the southbound track in the vicinity of the cross over turnout looks as if it could do with
a little TLC.
