082 is coupled to the DFDS liner in Ballina freight yard today alongside is 075 coupled to a timber train which is due out tomorrow, 078 Athlone pilot-unoffically named The River Shannon......!!!!!! |

082 failed to start this morning on the DFDS liner,075 off the timber replaced 082,078 worked Light engine from Athlone to Ballina to work the laden timber, 087 worked the 12:10 Waterford-Ballina DFDS liner arriving in Ballina freight yard at 19:30 this evening, Empty timber to Ballina tomorrow afternoon. |

085 worked the empty timber train to Ballina this evening arriving there at 16:40,Empty timber to Westport tomorrow evening, 079 worked the 12:10 Waterford-Ballina DFDS liner arriving there at 19:50, 082 was unable to start again today and will have to be hauled back from Ballina-Inchicore. |

071 had a ballast train in Mallow on 30th/July.
072 was working Tara Mines trains. 073 is glued to the sleeper train in Portlaoise that has been working up and down to Waterford the past 2 weeks. 074 was working Tara Mines trains. 075 is acting Athlone standby. 076 is sparkling clean at Inchicore awaiting duties.Liner please!Keep it away from dusty ballast trains that it was on before being painted! 077 is acting standby in Portlaoise. 078 worked 07:05 Waterford-Limerick empty cement on Thurs 30th/July.10 bogie bulks+2 empty timber wagons. 079 is on Waterford/West freight duties. 080 is acting Limerick standby in Limerick Junction parked beside the Limerick trains platform. 081 is operating the North Wall based ballast train set in the Waterford area! 082 is bust in either Ballina or Inchicore.I reckon the poor thing is suffering from a dose of self-deafness!. 083 is welded to the long welded rail train in Portlaoise which has been working up and down to Waterford/Carrick-on-Suir the past 2 weeks. 084 was swapped off the North Wall based ballast train on Wednesday and went to Inchicore. 085 is on Waterford freight duties. 086 is on and off Tara Mines ore trains. 087 was in Kildare on Wednesday at 17:30 heading for Waterford light engine while swapping with 084.087 is now idle in Waterford off timber train duties which are cancelled for 3 weeks starting this week. 088 is providing a Joe Maxi service since May for the men in Inchicore! I'd hedge bets that 084 is going in for a paint now!

The original plan was to refurbish 12 071s. Now I believe 071 was painted but never refurbished, so are the other twelve black 071s all the refurbished ones?
And will all the fleet be painted black/silver?

Excellent update irishRail201....!!! 087 worked the 07:50 Waterford-Ballina DFDS liner yesterday, Csalem-Its looks of late that their's a big push on to repaint the remaining orange 071's into"Freight livery"as 072,074 and 076 have been done very quickly within the last few months, The refurbished one's would be071,073, 075,079,080,081,082,083,086,088- 085 was repainted but didn't get a refurbished engine.
