Over the last while there have been numerous engineering works on the line. How much of the line has been relaid and what are the current speed limits of the
line? Are there still many TSR's on it? I havent travelled on the line since the Supertrain railtour back in October 2006. Speed limits at the time were
pitiful, especially after Roscrea heading for Ballybrophy. I am just wondering if there has been any improvement?
I recently watched the latest Irish Railways Review DVD which had Birdhill & Nenagh stations featured. There looked like fresh ballasted track on the approaches to the stations (the stations themselves had not been relaid).
Changes to the timetable on the line now means there is a 1hr travel time between Nenagh & Limerick, an increase I think?
Fin.
