This is going to be a complete long shot, but it's worth a try!!
I have at last seen sense and have been cataloguing my photos, I was checking thru my database when I stumbled across this, and I'm wondering weather anyone here could help me out.
On Wednesday 12th July 2006 I observed 072 arrive into North Wall with the cement, according to my notes "072 arrived into NW @ 16.07 with 27 ety Bulks and then depated LE for Inchicore" I put it down as the 11.50 ex Cork cement running early, however later on that evening I took a spin out to Portarlington and was very surprised to get 079 with an up empty cement ex Cork running very late, "079 thru Port heading with 7 ety bogie cement, passed at 20.05 heading North"
I don't think 072 was working an ex Platin cement, as I observed that arrive and depart earlier in the day with a pair, so I'm curious as to what 072 worked?? A few days previous I observed 146+160 work the ex Waterford-N.Wall cement, however that didn't arrive into Kildare until 16.27 and didn't depart until 16.44, behind the 14.30 ex Cork passenger, so if 072 was working an ex Waterford cement it was running very early.
Did anyone observe 072 in the Waterford/Cork area around that time, or did anyone see a cement hauled by 072 on that day??
Any help would be greatly appriecated,
Regards,
